The Republic of Dreams: an Analytical-Anthropological Research on Social Dreaming During Pandemics

The Polish Republic of Dreams is a qualitative study of social dreaming, narratives and the collective unconscious in Poland, initiated during the Covid-19 pandemic, based on the perspective of modern dream anthropology inspired by Jungian analysis and image work. The presentation will discuss the main symbols, motifs, narratives and amplifications results of the research on two levels: analytical and anthropological. Based on the research, a performance was being created under the same title in conjunction with a professional theatre. Insights from this work will be shared as part of the presentation.

Bartosz Samitowski (AJAP), President of the Association of Jungian Analysts in Poland, analyst in private practice in Warsaw. Affiliated with the Institute of Etnology and Cultural Anhropology of the University of Warsaw. A semi-pro musician - one of the projects he co-created was nominated in 2021 for the “Best Alternative Album” in Poland.
